The goal of the JMU Psychology Major is to help students think like scientists about behavior. This series of short videos is designed to help you learn more about our program and help you decide if what we offer is right for you.

This video series was created by Katherine Greiner in consultation with Michael Stoloff during the 2009-10 academic year and were published in May 2010.  They feature many psychology majors and faculty of the Department of Psychology.

Through our field placements, students get experience working at local agencies. More information about field placements. 

Many psychology majors pursue a minor, second major, or pre-professional program that creates a unique program of study that matches the student’s interests. Students describe campus organizations that are popular among psychology majors including Psychology Club, Psi Chi, ABPsi, Active Minds, Peer Advising, the Student Advisory Committee and volunteer experiences. More information about psychology student organizations.
