School Psychology Program Student Awarded Scholarship

PHOTO: Marlana AsheThe JMU School Psychology program is pleased to announce that Marlana L. Ashe is a 2010 recipient of the NASP-ERT Minority Scholarship.The purpose of the NASP-ERT MSP is to relieve some of the financial burdens of minority students pursuing a Specialist's Degree in School Psychology. The award is given with the hopes of infusing the profession with diversity and multi-cultural competency and ultimately benefiting schools and communities nationwide. With the help of both private and corporate donations, at least one $5,000 scholarship is given annually and formally announced at the Awards Recognition Program at NASP's Annual Convention, to be held this upcoming year in Chicago, IL. Marlana isJMU program's first NASP-ERT minority scholarship recipient.
