According to a prominent ranking organization, the MA in Psychological Sciences Concentration in Behavior Analysis is the best in the USA. With a 100% pass rate on the BCBA exams plus extensive research training and excellent placement, JMU’s “program” ranked higher than heralded ABA programs at Vanderbilt University, University of Nevada, University of Nebraska, and Auburn University. Two students from the Psychological Sciences Quantitative Psychology Concentration represented JMU and the Department of Graduate Psychology at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) conferences in New York City. The conferences were held concurrently April 13-17, 2018.

Paulius Satkus, a first year student in the quantitative psychology concentration in the psychological sciences master's program, received the “Best Student Paper Award” from the American Educational Research Association’s (AERA) Measurement and Assessment in Higher Education Special Interest Group (SIG).
