SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY EdS PROGRAM RECEIVES NASP ACCREDITATION THROUGH 2012
Our School Psychology EdS program received full accreditation from NASP (National Association of School Psychologists) until 2012. NASP accreditation also means that our program is nationally recognized by NCATE (National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education).
The accreditation review was very complimentary of the program, noting in particular the program's clear philosophy stressing the data-based decision-making role of the school psychologist, its attention to issues of personal growth, and creative efforts to recruit and retain a diverse student body. The review also commended the commitment of faculty.
Congratulations to program director Patti Warner and the faculty and students of the program for building a first rate, nationally recognized program.
WISC-IV WORKSHOP
Our School Psychology program hosted a very successful workshop last week on June 22nd. Over thirty regional practitioners, faculty members and graduate students attended "Unleash the power or WISC-IV: The process approach", presented by Dr. Amy Gabel of Psychological Corporation. We received two WISC-IV test kits from the publisher which are welcome additions to our test library.
