High Performance Coaching Clinic Held
On February 8th, 2016, Graduate Psychology faculty and students affiliated with the Challace J. McMillin Center for Sport Psychology at JMU hosted the “2016 High Performance Coaching Clinic”. This annual coaching clinic was jointly sponsored by Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation and the McMillin Center, a community outreach program under the direction of Dr. Bob Harmison and staffed by Kinesiology faculty members and students in the C-I and Psychological Sciences programs. The event had over 30 coaches from youth, high school, and college populations, and included presentations from JMU coaches, students, and professors on methods that coaches can use to improve performance. We are proud of the efforts of this community outreach program and glad to have represented the University, Graduate Psychology, and the C-I and Psychological Sciences programs in this manner.
