Biographical statement
I love teaching at JMU! I've also served in the United States Air Force Reserve Component as a Chaplain since 1984, as a Hospital Chaplain at Duke, a Pastoral Counselor in SC and VA, and as a private practitioner.

My research interests include spirituality, life meaning, death and dying, leadership, and career development.

Professional Service
I am a chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve and served in Desert Storm, Kosovo, and Operation Noble Eagle. Since 9/11, I have worked with the Air National Guard Crisis Action team. I am the recipient of the JMU William Hall Student Service Award and the JMU All Together One Award.
