Scholarship
As noted on my web page, although most of my research is conducted in a laboratory setting and is more concerned with basic issues than with direct application, the goal is to understand complex forms of behavior as they occur within natural environments. That is, the aim of my research is to uncover general principles of behavior that are applicable across a wide range of species and situations.
