Veronica Raggi (03)
Veronica Raggi (2003) is working on her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park where she continues to study one of the interventions we developed as part of the CHP. She was one of three doctoral students to win APA Division 53 “Graduate Student Research Training Award” for 2005.
Beth Hackethorn (03)
Beth Garland (Hackethorn, 2003) is working on her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Texas A&M and was recently awarded a $25,000 grant from the Administration of Children and Families specifically for Head Start Dissertation Research. Her dissertation will be a multi-site study investigating the mediating role of parenting techniques on the relation between parental stress and childhood externalizing disorders. In addition, she will also look at the role of acculturation on that model.
Amy Williams (04)
Amy Green (Williams, 2004) is working on her Ph.D. in epidemiology at VCU and recently learned she was pregnant with twins!
Dr. Christina Conolly-Wilson (01, 05)
Christina (School Psychology EdS 2001 and Combined-Integrated PsyD 2005) has been promoted to Lead Psychologist for her department in the Waukegan Public Schools. She continues to head the district crisis team. Her article, Fighting an Urban Suicide Contagion: Finding Sunshine after the Storm, was just published in the Illinois School Psychologist Association newsletter. She and her husband Greg have a new address (available from the department).
