Counseling Faculty Member Publishes Book

Debbie Sturm, Assistant Professor of Counseling, has edited a book that is being published by Routledge. The book is entitled, “Social Class and the Helping Professions: A Clinician's Guide to Navigating the Landscape of Class in America."  Debbie and her co-editor Donna Gibson assembled and co-authored chapters to provide a comprehensive examination of the intersection of social class and the helping professions, including explorations of the role of social class in American culture, classism, mental health, and the American Dream.

The book's publication date is March 14, just in time to be available at the Routledge Publishers booth at the American Counseling Association annual convention.  The book also includes a chapter by Renee Staton on understanding social class in the United States. View detailed book information.
