CMHC Student Serves in Jamaica
Brian Caperton, who is now a first-year student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, served in Jamaica this March while completing his undergraduate degree at JMU. As a participant in the Alternative Spring Break Program, Brian assisted the Jamaican Committee for Upliftment of the Mentally Ill in reintegrating mentally disabled and homeless individuals into mainstream society. He worked closely with clients on a one-on-one basisólistening and empathizing to promote healing.
