CVCA Winter Workshop

The Winter CVCA workshop will be held on Friday, February 25th, 2011 from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Community College Plecker Workforce Center. Randy Hook LCSW will present the workshop Navigating Relational Bonds: Creating Connection in Couple.

This seminar will be an interactive learning opportunity that will explore the possibilities in helping couples create deeper connection and attachment. Research is clear that healthier marriages produce healthier families. We will explore more than 30 years worth of research about what produces healthy relationships. This seminar promises to be fun and informative with very practical tips and interventions for helping your clients thrive. Randy currently serves as the Director of Counseling Services at Bridgewater College. He has worked as an individual, marriage, and family therapist in the local community for many years. Randy has extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and is certified as a Prevention Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) instructor.

The cost of the workshop is $45 for VCA members, $35 for VCA student members, $65 for nonmembers, and $55 for student nonmembers. Lunch will be provided. The registration deadline is Friday, February 18, 2011. Participants will receive 6 contact hours for attending this workshop.
