- Crisis Intervention Specialist for Children’s Mobile Response in Camden County, NJ
- Individual, group, and family mental health clinician and unit supervisor at a Residential Treatment Facility for male youth ages 5-18.
- Practicum guidance counselor at a West Philadelphia elementary school, grades K-6.
- Lead counselor for children’s partial hospitalization program in urban NJ.
Research Interests
- Effects of maltreatment and trauma on children
- PTSD and treatment models, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Misdiagnosis of “disruptive behavior disorders” in male inner-city youth
- The role of culture and gender in the diagnosis and treatment of externalizing vs. internalizing disorders in children and adolescents
- Treatment of insecure attachment for children in foster care and other out-of-home placements
