I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico. I am the Assistant Division Director of the Early Childhood and Family Services Division at the Center for Development and Disability. She is the clinical director of the EArly Childhood Evaluation Program that conducts interdisciplinary developmental evaluations for children birth to 3 years old. Dara is also the clinical manager of an Early Intervention Program that serves Native American children and their families on the Navajo Nation. I specialize in pregnancy to 3 year olds with trauma and mothers in drug recovery. She is extremely passionate about working with this population to break the cycles and promote early attachment, safety and security.

Program Reflections

The doctoral program at JMU has impacted me greatly. I use the principles of interdisciplinary work every day in my work. My approach in supervision with trainees and staff is reflective and heavily influenced by the training of my JMU supervisors.
